Despite dire warnings of a nationwide transportation strike affecting air, sea, and land travel across Italy, we made it to the ship without a hitch! Our shuttle arrived promptly at 10:00 a.m. in front of our hotel in the beautiful Marina Romea area near Ravenna and whisked us to Porto Corsini, the cruise port, in no time.
Embarkation could not have gone smoother — we breezed right through the lines and were soon aboard the Celebrity Constellation (“the Connie”), settling in on Deck 10 aft for a wonderful al fresco lunch as our cruise adventure officially began.
Our cabin on deck 7 was ready shortly thereafter, and we were thrilled to walk into a spacious forward-facing ocean view stateroom with incredible panoramic views — the same perspective enjoyed from the Bridge! Only a handful of these unique cabins exist on Celebrity ships, making it an extra special treat.
We are now relaxing, unpacking, and getting ready to enjoy all the afternoon and evening activities on board. The ship is buzzing with excitement as passengers explore, settle in, and begin their vacations. More adventures to follow…
Update: After settling into our cabin, we got dressed for dinner and headed to Sushi on 5, the ship’s onboard Japanese restaurant — and it absolutely lived up to the hype! From there, we enjoyed a lively musical show followed by a fun-filled game show. After an evening packed with entertainment and excitement, we happily called it a night.
