After yesterday’s incredible journey through the Panama Canal, we’ve officially crossed from the Pacific Ocean into the Caribbean Sea! Today is another relaxing sea day aboard the beautiful Star Princess as we make our way toward our next tropical paradise — Aruba!
We’ll be arriving bright and early tomorrow morning, and we can’t wait to return to this beautiful island! 🌊🌺

Known as “One Happy Island,” Aruba is a little slice of paradise in the southern Caribbean, just off the coast of Venezuela. With its gorgeous white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, colorful Dutch colonial architecture, and year-round sunshine, it’s easy to see why visitors fall in love with this island.
Aruba is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and its Dutch influence is everywhere, especially in the charming capital of Oranjestad, where pastel-colored buildings with ornate Dutch-style facades give the town a distinctly European flair with a Caribbean twist.
And then there’s the food! 🍽️ Aruba’s cuisine is a wonderful blend of Dutch, Caribbean, Latin American, and Indonesian influences. We’re looking forward to enjoying some local flavors, perhaps a delicious pastechi (a savory stuffed pastry), keshi yena (a traditional cheese-filled dish), or even a Dutch treat like poffertjes, those irresistible little fluffy pancakes!
What makes Aruba especially appealing is its laid-back island atmosphere. The people are friendly, the trade winds keep things comfortable, and there’s always a little music, sunshine, and Caribbean charm around every corner. From its famous Eagle Beach and Palm Beach to its lively shops, cafés, and waterfront restaurants, Aruba has something for everyone.
As for today, we’re perfectly content enjoying another leisurely day at sea. A little good food, some ocean breezes, perhaps a cocktail or two, and plenty of time to reflect on yesterday’s unforgettable Panama Canal crossing. 🍹🚢
