Today was a lazy sea day—and let me tell you, it was SUPER lazy! And we loved every minute of it.
We slept in, enjoyed a leisurely late breakfast, and eventually made our way to the Meet & Greet organized by our cruise Facebook group. What a great time!
And talk about a small world! 🌎 Of all the people on this huge ship, we happened to meet another couple from Florida who live in the very same town we do! What are the chances? We had a terrific time chatting with them and meeting fellow cruisers from all over the United States—and even from around the world.
The group also held a raffle with lots of fun prizes, and much to our surprise, Clay and I BOTH won! 🎉
I came away with the coveted hand-carved wooden turtle 🐢, while Clay won a handmade wooden duck 🦆. The prizes were all donated handmade gifts, which made them even more special.
We have attended quite a few cruise Meet & Greets over the years, but we both agreed—this was the best one we’ve ever been to on any cruise!
Afterward, it was time for lunch at Alfredo’s Pizzeria, where we tried a delicious prosciutto and fig pizza. 🍕 Absolutely yummy!
Then, in keeping with the very demanding schedule of our lazy sea day, it was back to the cabin for a nap. 😴 After all, we needed to rest up and get ready for tonight’s festivities!
More to come… stay tuned! 🚢🥂✨

After our nap and a little shopping around the ship, we headed back to the cabin to get ready for another fun evening aboard the Star Princess.
Dinner tonight was at Makoto Ocean, the ship’s Japanese restaurant—and what a treat! The sushi was, without a doubt, some of the best we’ve ever had at sea. Beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor, every bite was delicious. Between the elegant atmosphere and the wonderful selection of sushi and Japanese specialties, Makoto Ocean definitely earned a spot on our “must do again” list!
Then
off to the Princess Arena for the evening’s production show, Viva la Música. 💃🎶
What a lively show! The production invites you into a world of music, romance, and dance, with an immersive Latin-inspired experience that practically makes you want to jump out of your seat and join in. The show was choreographed by renowned choreographer Liz Imperio, whose impressive résumé includes working with Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, and Gloria Estefan. The music, colorful costumes, energy, and incredible dancers made it a wonderful way to end the evening.
After a full day of eating, shopping, laughing, dancing—or at least watching the dancing!—and enjoying everything the Star Princess had to offer, exhaustion finally caught up with us.
Time to call it a night! 😴🚢✨
Another wonderful day at sea in the books for Clay n Viv Travels. Stay tuned… there’s plenty more adventure ahead!
