After hearing rumblings of a nationwide transportation strike in Italy, we wasted no time heading to the Bologna train station this morning to make our escape to Ravenna! With our cruise departing tomorrow from Porto Corsini, we were determined not to miss the all aboard call.
Thankfully, everything went smoothly and we arrived in Ravenna without a hitch. From there, we grabbed a taxi to the beach area near the port and checked into a hotel in a lovely seaside resort community. Since this is the in-between season, many places were still shuttered, but we managed to uncover a charming little pizzeria where we enjoyed a delicious prosciutto pizza. Afterward, we took a relaxing stroll along the beach, soaking in the sea air before calling it an early night. Tomorrow morning we’ll be up bright and early for embarkation on the beautiful Celebrity Constellation!
