We stepped into the timeless charm of Split as we wandered through the heart of the old city. We explored the incredible remains of Emperor Diocletian’s Palace—now a vibrant maze of cobblestone lanes, gothic churches, fascinating museums, charming art galleries, and lively cafés and restaurants.
We descended into the atmospheric palace cellars for a glimpse into its ancient inner workings, then continued on to iconic landmarks; the Cathedral of St. Duje and the Temple of Jupiter—each rich with history and stories waiting to be discovered. Afterwards, we had lunch and feasted on the local delicacy, black risotto with cuttlefish. After lunch browsed the bustling local market, searching for unique treasures and soaking in the city’s energy. An unforgettable day for sure!
