A Day in Okinawa: Adventures Await!
This morning, we landed in Okinawa, and wow, what a gorgeous day it was! The skies were as clear as a blue ocean, and the temperature was just right—perfection! We docked around 11 AM, and after a smooth ride through Immigration, we hopped on a shuttle bus headed for the lively city.
Our first stop was Kokusai Dori (International Street) in Naha! This bustling street was alive with energy, and we strolled up and down, soaking in all the sights and sounds.
Next up was a delightful dining experience at Da Na Sui, a traditional Japanese restaurant. We settled into low tables, kicking off our shoes and embracing the cozy vibe. Sitting cross-legged, we savored every bite of our delicious meal—what a fun way to dine!
Afterwards, we ventured to the Ryubo Department Store and stumbled upon an incredible food hall on the fourth floor. We just had to try the local Orion beer! There, we met the most fantastic bartender, Greg, all the way from Jamaica—“Mon!” We chatted about everything from Jamaican culture to our thrilling adventure at Dunn’s River Falls.
As the sun began to set, we hopped back on our shuttle bus, feeling happy and full. What a fantastic afternoon spent in paradise! “Bless up” (Goodbye/Cheers) Okinawa or shall we say Sayonara Okinawa and tomorrow Konnichiwa Ishigaki, Japan.
