Here’s a brief summary of Star Princess — the newest ship from Princess Cruises:

🚢 What is Star Princess

Star Princess is the second “Sphere‑Class” ship from Princess Cruises, sister ship to Sun Princess.
She was officially delivered in September 2025, and her maiden voyage departed on October 4, 2025 — an 11‑day Western Mediterranean sailing from Barcelona.
Capacity & size: about 177,800 tons, accommodates up to 4,300 guests (with roughly 1,600 crew), spans 21 decks, length 1,133 feet, 2,157 staterooms (including suites, mini‑suites, many balcony cabins).

✨ What’s New & What’s Special

Star Princess packs a variety of new and enhanced features compared to older ships:

  1. Architectural & public‑space highlights: includes “The Dome” — a geodesic glass‑enclosed dome at the top of the ship, The Sphere” / central Piazza — a glass‑enclosed hub with panoramic views, and the technologically advanced Princess Arena theater for entertainment.
  2. Dining & nightlife: about 30 dining venues and bars, including expanded offerings. For example, an expanded Irish pub, a specialty dining venue called “Love by Britto,” and more venues compared to previous ships.
  3. Leisure & amenities: A two‑story spa, fitness center, and a “SkyDeck” with sports court (for pickleball, basketball), jogging track, splash pad, and lounge spaces.
  4. Accommodation variety: Staterooms ranging from inside cabins to balcony cabins, mini‑suites, and suites; many balconies + connecting rooms — good for families or groups.
  5. Sustainability: Powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), aligning with more eco‑friendly cruising initiatives.

🎭 Entertainment & Guest Experience

  1. The ship features fresh entertainment productions designed for Star Princess, including shows in the Princess Arena.
  2. There’s a tasteful mix of relaxed and lively atmospheres — from lounge‑style bars and specialty dining to energetic shows and social piazza spaces.
  3. According to recent reviews of inaugural sailings, the ship is “already a crowd‑pleaser,” with high net promoter scores and positive feedback around food, beverage, and entertainment upgrades.
