Hoi An – Vietnam Cruise – Day 6

The lantern-lit streets and cultural treasures of Hoi An beckoned us to a bygone era as we explored this ancient city’s most iconic landmarks, discovering an enchanting fusion of history, cuisine, and timeless beauty.

We enjoyed a scenic coastal drive to the charming town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a well-preserved example of a local trading port dating back to the 15th century.

Our journey into the past began with a leisurely walking tour through the city, where we learned about its 2,000-year history and its diverse cultural influences. We marveled at this incredible cultural diversity as we visited several architectural wonders, including a 17th-century Japanese covered footbridge, a magnificent 17th-century Chinese temple, and a perfectly preserved home that had survived for generations.

We indulged in traditional Vietnamese cuisine, savoring a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Lastly, we browsed the handicraft workshops and boutiques for unique souvenirs, leaving with a newfound appreciation for Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.
